When Josemark Makokha Ombanga from Bumwende area, Lubinu-Lusheya ward, Mumias East constituency lost his house due to the heavy rains and winds caused by the El Nino phenomenon, several of you tagged me to the social media post by Mulembe Fm highlighting the matter. The Wameyo Foundation through field representative Osundwa Pius Collins reached out to the family offering assistance in any way so as to get them back to their normal lives. We then got to working!
We were also joined by Eric Omondi , famous Kenyan comedian and now philanthropist/activist, who traveled all the way from Nairobi to Bumwende to show support to the family. As residents of Mumias East we say thank you and your assistance was highly appreciated. Karibu kwetu tena!
As of now the family of Mr. Makokha has a roof over their heads and they can sleep peacefully without having to worry about being exposed to the elements. Attached are photos and videos from Bumwende. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. We give thanks..mbele kuzuri
