As Christians we are reminded in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 that “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” His grace abounds to us in giving and this should be our way of life as Christian faithfuls.

In tandem with the Lord’s teachings The Wameyo Foundation visited Arise and Shine School of the Physically Disabled at Shianda , Mumias East constituency to play their part in helping the less fortunate in our society. Led by Chief Field Coordinator Collins Osundwa, Representative Ambassa Rapando, and Parth Borker of Michigan, USA 🇺🇸, the team brought to the school a bag of maize, beans, 100 sanitary pads, underwear for the girls, 176 incontinence diapers, toothbrushes, pencils, color crayons and sharpeners.

The Wameyo Foundation in the spirit of community service has been a major supporter of empowering people with disabilities within Mumias East and beyond and therefore encourages the larger community to do the same so that no one is left behind in the pursuit of a better life and future.

The team gave a pep talk to the students encouraging them to focus on education despite the challenges. They also advised the students on matters of both general hygiene and special focus on female menstrual health. The team reached out to the teaching and auxiliary staff to work with the students to ensure success of the program.

We at The Wameyo Foundation give a big thank you to the school Principal and the rest of the staff for having us on their premises and we received your letter of appreciation with gladness. Murio muno
