SHIANDA MARKET DAY CLEAN UP BY THE WAMEYO FOUNDATION
On Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, The Wameyo Foundation, in partnership with the Local County Administration , Vijana na Wameyo Foundation and Lubinu Youth FC, held a community service event at Shianda Market to promote environmental sustainability. The initiative included a thorough cleanup of the market area, helping create a cleaner and healthier environment for local residents. Coordinating the event on behalf of The Wameyo Foundation included Field Coordinator Collins Osundwa, Lubinu Youth FC Team Captain Clivian Mukoya, Youth Leader Delan Katima and Female Representative Ambasa Rapando.
Local leaders, including Area Administrator Mr. Abdallah and Area Supervisor Moses Peywa participated in the event, emphasizing the importance of community collaboration in environmental conservation. This initiative reflects The Wameyo Foundation’s commitment to long-term ecological health and a greener, more sustainable future for the region.
